Connecting a SurePass Reader to a Mobile Device


  1. On the mobile app home screen, open the Checkpoint page and select the Scan tab.

  1. Open the Device Scan Options menu.
    • Tap ‘External Reader’ or ‘Mobile Phone’ to open the Device Scan Options menu.

  1. Select the ‘External Reader’ option in the menu.

  1. Tap the ‘Find New SurePass Device’ button.
    • All nearby SurePass readers will appear in the Bluetooth device list.

  1. Select the SurePass Reader you want to connect to.
    • Tap the reader from the list.
    • The status will show ‘Connected’ when the reader has successfully paired.

  1. Close the Device Scan Options menu.

  1. Begin scanning officials.
    • Your mobile device or kiosk is now ready to scan official capacity IDs to verify and admit personnel.
