Register with SurePass

In order to utilize the Official Capacity ID (OCID) and other features as a law enforcement official, you must first register your information. Here are the steps for registering for SurePass as a Law Enforcement Official:

  1. Download the SurePass app on your mobile device and select Law Enforcement Registration.
  2. Provide the information requested that is associated with your law enforcement agency:
    1. First Name (use your legal name)
    2. Last Name (use your legal name)
    3. Rank
    4. Badge Number
    5. Law Enforcement Agency: Choose from the dropdown list provided
    6. Email: Be sure to use the email address associated with your law enforcement agency, not your personal email address!
  3. Upload a picture that meets the following specifications:
    1. You must be the only person in the photo
    2. Your head and shoulders must be visible and centered in the middle of the frame
    3. You face must be clearly visible and facing the camera
    4. File must be a PNG, JPG or HEIC format
    5. File must be no larger than 3MB

Once you have successfully registered, you can download and log into the SurePass app using the email you used at registration where you will be sent a one-time login code.
